Clara King Thomas, aged 101, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Born on Saturday, September 15, 1923, in Jacksonville, Florida, Clara lived a full and vibrant life, marked by her unwavering faith and her passion for the simple pleasures that brought her joy.
From 1943 until her passing Clara lived in San Francisco, California, North Tonawanda, New York, Sycamore, Illinois, Corinth, Mississippi, and Paducah. She was a dedicated member of Olivet Baptist Church, where she found strength and community. She was an avid reader, and her dexterity with knitting needles and skill in counted cross stitch, created countless treasures that warmed homes and hearts alike.
It is with great love and respect that her family, friends, and the extended community bid Clara farewell, confident that her legacy of kindness, craftsmanship, and faith will endure in the lives she touched. We celebrate Clara King Thomas' rich life and treasure the memories she leaves behind.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughters, Gail Reynolds of Marietta, Ohio; Dori Sweet of Alpena, Michigan, and Barbara Noble of Norwalk, Connecticut; her grandchildren, Drew Reynolds (Karen Burke), Nathan Sweet (Maria), Jessica Noble (Jesse Peyronel), Andrew Sweet (Ali), Robert Noble (Macky); her great-grandchildren, Hudson, Finley, and Magnolia Reynolds; Henry, Sofia, and Amelia Sweet; Lucian and Uma Peyronel; Lulu and Lola Sweet, and Ryan Noble.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Chris Prescott and Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 P.M. Friday, February 28, 2025, at the funeral home.
The final resting place will be Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
