Cheryl G. Jackson, a beacon of laughter and love, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2024, in her hometown of Paducah, Kentucky. Born on January 5, 1951, Cheryl's life was a testament to her enduring kindness and her sharp, witty humor that left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School in 1969, Cheryl furthered her education by earning a Master's degree from Murray State University in 1989. Her professional life was enriched by her involvement with the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships and contributed to her community.

Cheryl's passions were as vibrant as her personality. A faithful member of Concord United Methodist Church, she also reveled in music, playing the organ with gusto. Known as a TV junkie, Cheryl's storytelling, often laced with her trademark no-filter commentary, was legendary. Her opinions were strong, but so was the love she shared.

Described as loving, funny, and kind, Cheryl's legacy is one of joy and genuine connection. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to experience her unique and spirited presence.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rev. Joel Jackson; one daughter, Temple Bradley (Craig) of Paducah; one son, Trevor Jackson (Marcie) of Paducah; and four grandchildren, Chase Bradley, Jack Bradley, Jaycie Jackson and Jayden Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Chandler.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Concord United Methodist Church with Dr. Ben Boone and Dr. Barry Scott officiating.  Burial will follow at New Liberty United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Concord United Methodist Church.
