Charles “Charlie” G. Morrison, 81, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Mercy Health Lourdes. He was born in Benton, Kentucky, on December 1, 1943, to the late Bert Morrison and Rena Barker Morrison. Charles was a retired business owner, having owned Lane & Morrison Construction, Inc., Livingston County Ready Mix, The Bike Shop, and the former Polynesian Pools. He attended Reidland Church of Christ. Charles enjoyed drag racing in the 1960s and 1970s. He loved talking with his grandchildren, and he enjoyed his dogs. He served in the National Guard.
Charles is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bobbie James Morrison; daughter, Holly Morrison Bruser, and husband, Jon, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; son, Jon David Morrison, and wife, Whitney, of Ledbetter, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Abigail Bruser of Nashville, Tennessee, Caroline Bruser of Salt Lake City, Utah, Lucas Bruser of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Charlie Morrison, and Cooper Morrison both of Ledbetter, Kentucky; nephew, Steven Simons; nieces Kendra Douros and Shane Hicks; his beloved Boxer, Sapphire and his Papillion, Lucy.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Simons and Linda Lane; a nephew, Barry Lane; his parents; and numerous boxer dogs he loved through the years, who no doubt welcomed him with a joyful celebration upon his arrival in Heaven.
Charles will be deeply missed by his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, who will forever carry his love, his stories, and his contagious spirit in their hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
