Carolyn Nanney Farris, 81, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes. 

Carolyn Nanney Farris, 81, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away at 12:20 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Mercy Health Lourdes. She was born on April 25, 1943 in Paducah to the late Charles Cecil Nanney and Frances Lorene Clark Nanney. Carolyn was retired from the Probation office of Grundy County Illinois where she was Secretary. She was a member of Pottsville Church of Christ. Carolyn enjoyed baking, sewing, and loving all the dogs that she had through the years. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, spending time and taking care of them.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Cecil Darren Farris of Paducah, Kentucky; sister, Sylvia Kay (Donald) Mabry of Boaz, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Katelyn Farris, Kyla Mients and Kelsie Urbasek; two great-grandchildren; Lyla Mients and Claire Mients; two nieces, Jennifer (Chris) Lacey and Kim Thurston; two nephews; Jeffrey (Staci) Mabry and David Farris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy H. Farris; daughter, Angela Kay Nanney and her parents.

The family would like to thank her caregiver’s, Robin Holt and Pam Crow, for all their loving care and support that they gave to Carolyn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Mr. Mike Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Owens Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
