Carol Jean Holland of Paducah passed away on March 2, 2023. Carol was born on December 15, 1946 in Paducah. She graduated from Reidland High School and obtained her Associate of Arts degree from Paducah Community College. She was a bank accountant at Central Bank in Lexington, Ky. and worked several years as a pharmacy technician in Paducah. Her primary passions were being a homemaker, caregiver to her family.  She loved and dedicated her life to the pursuit of happiness for her family. Her favorite response to “I love you” from a family member was “I love you more!” She was humble and sweet.  Friends often referred to her as the nicest person they had ever known. She was talented in the art of ceramics and painted a ceramic nativity set that everyone adores during the holidays. She especially enjoyed family vacations and took all the grandchildren on a vacation of choice when they turned 12 years old. In later years, she enjoyed international travel with her husband Gary. Her family celebrated their love for her and Gary with a 50^th Wedding Anniversary party in 2016.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents Verdie and Frances Culp and brother Kenneth Culp.
 
She is survived by her husband Gary Holland, son, Matt Holland; daughter, Laura (Michael) Smith; granddaughters, Taylor Smith, Olivia Smith, Haley Holland, and Madison Williams, grandsons Ethan Smith and Mason Williams; brother, Steven (Carolyn) Culp.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday March 6, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
