Devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Caregiver

Carl Martin Clark, 82, passed away on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 in Paducah, Kentucky surrounded by his loved ones.

Carl was born on October 12, 1942 in St. Charles, Missouri to Carl and Elvera Clark. He attended Northeast Missouri State University, now known as Truman State University. To help pay for his education, Carl would work in the summer clearing hiking trails in Rocky Mountain National Park. During his time in college, he met Carolee Critchlow. The two were married on May 22, 1964, the same day Carl graduated from college.

In 1966, Carl was drafted into the United States Army. After finishing his service, he and his family settled in Paducah, Kentucky. There he was an insurance adjuster with USF&G for over thirty years.

He was a lover of nature and outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, and hiking. He was also a lifelong sports fan and a very talented photographer. However, his favorite hobby was being a loving grandfather.

Carl is survived by his wife Kandi Clark; children, Camille (Lyndell) Gillette, Chris (Christina) Clark; his four grandchildren, Blake (Carie), Garrett, Coralee and Zorabelle; three great-grandchildren; brother Don Clark; and his step-daughter Jillian Davidson of Nashville, Tennessee.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife Carolee.

Carl will always be remembered for his kind nature, gentle soul and loving spirit which was felt by all around him.

A family service will be held at a later date.
