Carl E. Teems

Carl E. Teems, 63, of Fancy Farm, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
 
Carl was born in Mayfield on February 2, 1958 to the late Floyd and Nora Teems.  He was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country honorably in the Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Storm.  He retired from Pilgrim’s Pride after more than 15 years of employment.  Carl was a kind, quiet, loving man.  He loved his wife Shelley fiercely.  She was his favorite person on the earth.  Although Carl didn't have many hobbies, you could always find him working under the hood of a car, or out in his yard tending to his rose bushes.  He ruled with an iron fist but his children never knew anything but love from him.  Although Carl wasn't a member of a church, he knew the Lord and assured his daughter of that many times in conversation. 
 
Carl is survived by his daughter, Martha (Derek) Lemons of Bardwell; son, Eddie Teems of Fancy Farm; five sisters, Joyce Darszewski of Fancy Farm, Patricia Ellegood of Fancy Farm, Martha Teems of Mayfield, Linda Marshall of Mayfield and Beth Marshall of Paducah; five grandchildren, Jaxon Lemons, Rylee Lemons, Brycen Teems, Maddox Lemons and Madalyn Cowell; and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley Anne Teems; one sister, Janie Martin; four brothers, Alan Teems, Robert Teems, Charles Teems and Bruce Teems; and his parents.  
 
Funeral services for Carl will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Bro. David Sphinx officiating.  Burial will follow with military honors at Wingo Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the service time of 2:00 pm on Monday, January 3, 2022 at the funeral home.
