Byron Watlington, 62, of Boaz, Kentucky, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky at Baptist Health Paducah.
He was born on August 31, 1962, Byron was known for his infectious humor and unwavering love for his family. His passion for fishing was only matched by his generosity, as he often shared his catch with friends and neighbors. Byron’s boundless love for his family was evident, especially in the joy he found in his grandchildren's laughter and achievements. He was the heart of every family gathering, where his ability to make everyone laugh was a cherished gift. His dedication to his mother was a testament to his caring nature, always ensuring she was well taken care of. Byron’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and selfless care, leaving behind a community that was brighter for his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Byron is survived by a daughter, Samantha Watlington of Noblesville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Athena Nobles and Aurora Waltington-Nobles; two sisters, Jania (Keith Satterfield) Bailey of Winter Haven, Florida and Casaundra Newsome of Paducah; and his mother; Janice Griffin Long of Boaz, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Jack Watlington; and his father, Jack Watlington.
