Bobby "Bob" Coleman

Bobby "Bob" Coleman, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024, at the age of 83. He was born in Marion, Kentucky, on Friday, December 26, 1941, to John and Millie Coleman. Bob, known as Daddo” to his family, was a proud graduate of Crittenden County High School. After high school, he honorably served his country by joining the US Navy, where he formed lifelong friendships and developed a strong sense of discipline that guided him throughout his life.
 
Bob's passions were many, but none so prominent as his love for college sports. An avid UK Basketball fan, he could be found cheering on his favorite team with an unwavering spirit. Having earned his pilot’s license, he enjoyed flying, also playing golf, a hobby that allowed him to enjoy the outdoors and indulge in friendly competition. Above all, Bob's devotion to his family, and especially his grandchildren, remained at the heart of his world.
 
Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Shirley Poat Coleman; his daughter, Heather Coleman Waltmon (Darren) of Paducah; his sister, Linda Welborn of Hansen, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Hannah Waltmon Tallent (Josh), Madelyn Waltmon, Reid Waltmon, and Emma Waltmon.
 
Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, John Louis Coleman and Millie Clemie Elkins Coleman; his brothers, John Coleman and Jimmy Coleman.
 
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Ryan Harpole officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Friday, January 3, 2025 at the funeral home.
