Billy Russelburg of Fancy Farm, Kentucky, passed away on March 29, 2025, at the age of 70. He was born on November 29, 1954, in Mayfield, Kentucky, to the late James Roscoe and Anna Martina Russelburg.

 

Billy dedicated much of his energy to the St. Charles Catholic Church over the years. His commitment to his faith was evident in the passion with which he oversaw the church cemetery and helped with countless fish fries and picnics.

A true outdoorsman, Billy found joy in farming, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed watching UK Basketball and cherished moments spent supporting his grandchildren at their various events, where his presence was a constant source of joy and support. Those who knew Billy appreciated his quiet strength and genuine spirit. His legacy is characterized by unwavering community service and a deep passion for both nature and family. Billy's warm presence will be profoundly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.

 

Billy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Cindy Russelburg; one daughter, Cinda (Chad) Wilson, of Fancy Farm; one son, Jeff (Erin) Russelburg, of Fancy Farm; five sisters, Judy Willett, of Cunningham, Sue (Bruno) Nikodemski, of Colorado Springs, Rita (Dale) Hemmerich, of Paducah, Angie Russelburg Hamilton, of San Diego, California; and Teresa (Sam) Reddick, of Bardwell; and four grandchildren, Mallory Wilson, Joseph Wilson, Anna Russelburg, and Aiden Russelburg.

 

He is preceded in death by one sister, Diane Russelburg; two brothers, Ray Russelburg and David Russelburg; and his parents.

 

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Bardwell, Kentucky, with Father Chrispin Oneko officiating. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Church Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at St. Charles Catholic Church.
