Bill Wurth, age 86, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 1:37 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.  Bill was born on October 5, 1937, to the late Cecil and Cordelia Hite Wurth. Bill was a St. Thomas More Catholic Church member and a St. Mary’s Academy graduate.  He was a Knights of Columbus member and attained 4th degree.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard; he was called to active duty at Ft. Stuart Ga. during the Vietnam War.   Bill was retired from Princeton Hosiery Mill, having worked in the textile business all his adult life.  Bill was a Kentucky Colonel and his hobbies included being an avid golfer at Princeton Golf and Country Club and Rolling Hills Country Club, a University of Kentucky Sports fan, and St. Louis Cardinal baseball.  Bill also cared daily for his cat, Miss Kitty for the last 9 years

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Marge Wurth; one daughter, Gina Ann Wurth Holeman, and husband, Eric of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one son, Gregg Allan Wurth, and wife, Rachel of Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Sue Boettinger, and husband, Bob, of St. Louis, Missouri; four grandchildren; Hannah Wurth (Jacob) Wiseman, Holly Wurth (Brendan) King, Allison Holeman (Jordan) Payne and Lauren Holeman; two great-grandchildren coming in September and October 2024; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Dalton Chandler.

Preceding in death were parents; granddaughter, Hope Olivia Wurth; one sister, Judy Chandler; three brothers, Larry Wurth, Harry Wurth, and Ray Wurth.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024, at the St. Thomas Catholic Church with Rev. Brad Whistle officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Military Honors.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with prayers beginning at 6:30 p.m.
