Beverly Kay Shockley, 79 of Paducah passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024, at Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.  She was born on April 11, 1945, in Fulton, KY,  to Orron Lee and Gladys Brown Moultrie.

Beverly Kay’s passion for life matched her love for cooking, which she turned into a successful career. As the former owner and operator of Kay's Family & Brooks Family Restaurants, she poured her heart into every dish she served and touched the lives of many in her community. Her journey also led her to the open road as a truck driver and later as an instructor for a truck driving school, where she shared her knowledge and experience with countless aspiring drivers.

Beverly Kay was a member of the Reidland Church of Christ. Her spiritual journey was a testament to her resilience and strength, particularly as a 15-year cancer survivor. She channeled her fighting spirit into helping others as a dedicated participant in Relay For Life, inspiring those around her with her unwavering courage.

Her zest for life was only surpassed by her love for her family. Known affectionately as "MIMI," she was a wonderful mom and grandmomma, whose nurturing presence and boundless love were the cornerstone of her family.

She is survived by her three children, Cindy Cornwell of Paducah, Lisa (Doug) Mohr of Paducah, and Eddie (Christie) Cole of Hardin, KY; her five grandchildren, Tessa Taylor of Paducah, Bryan Mohr of Allen, TX, Darren Cole of Calvert City, Eric Mohr of Paducah and Logan Hawks; her six great-grandchildren, Aurora Taylor, Ayven Cole, Amelia Mohr, Asher Cole, Gray Mohr and Sawyer Hawks; her sister, Gayle Napier; her two brothers, Bobby Moultrie and Junior Moultrie along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Ed Cole and David Lee Shockley Sr; a grandson, Austin Mohr; a great-granddaughter, Callie Mohr; a sister, Aletha Floyd and a brother, Doyne Moultrie.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with David Decker Terrell Lee officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah.  Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
