Bettye Lois Rogers

Bettye Lois Rogers, 82, of Ledbetter, Kentucky passed away at 6:54 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024 at Baptist Health Paducah. She was born on July 2, 1942 in Ledbetter, Kentucky. Bettye retired from Curtis Color Lab and previously worked at the McCracken County Court House. She was a member of Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Trader’s Mall dancing community.
 
Bettye is survived by her husband of 62 years, Donald Wayne Rogers; daughter, Donna Renee Bell and husband, Bruce of Lone Oak, Kentucky; son, Kenneth Ray Thompson and wife, Dee Ann of Unionville, Illinois; sister, Donna Pickett of Ledbetter, Kentucky; brothers, Larry “Ranny” Thompson of Boaz, Kentucky, Michael Scheer of Hickory, Kentucky and Mark Scheer of Grand Rivers, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Ashley Bates and Dustin Thompason; three great-grandchildren, Adelynn, Brooklynn, Reese and several nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Rogers; sister, Sandra Lampkin; father, Guy Thompson; mother and step-father, Dorothea Elizabeth Faughn Thompson Scheer and Charles Scheer.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Dee Ann Thompson and Michael Scheer officiating. Burial will follow at Maplelawn Park Cemetery.
 
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
