Barbara Morrow Cissell, age 79, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah.
Born on December 20, 1945, in the same beloved town, Barbara was known for her warmth, creativity, and dedication to her community.
For many years, Barbara styled lives as a hairdresser, cultivating beauty and confidence in her clients. She was also an avid member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, where her faith and fellowship uplifted many. Outside of work, Barbara channeled her artistic spirit into teaching art, being an independent demonstrator at Stampin' Up, and active involvement in the Paducah Area Painters Alliance (PAPA).
Barbara's zest for life shone through in her hobbies; she found joy in scrapbooking, traveling, playing cards, and cherishing moments with her friends. Her radiant smile and kindhearted nature will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Barbara's legacy of nurturing love and creativity will endure in the hearts of her community.
Barbara is survived by her two granddaughters, Miranda Cissell (James) of West Paducah and Mirena Cissell (Angie) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; three great-grandchildren, Gavin, Briley and Noble all of West Paducah; a daughter-in-law, Nikie Hyde Cissell of West Paducah; four sisters, Joyce Holly of Union City, Tennessee, Diane Leftrick of Springfield, Tennessee, Nancy Hanley of Hopkinsville, Kentucky and Debbie Mauk of Springfield, Tennessee; a brother, Ronnie Morrow of West Paducah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cissell; a son, Bradley Charles Cissell; and a granddaughter, Miriah Cissell. Her parents were, Baker Morrow and June Joiner Shockey.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church with Rev. Gary Clark officiating.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 12:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.
Burial will be held at a late date.
