Barbara Jean Clark, age 85 of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 7:05 pm Sunday, August 10, 2025 at her home. Barbara Jean was born on March 24, 1940 to Leonard Spears and Opal Kidd Spears. Barbara Jean was of the Pentecostal faith and a 1958 graduate of Lone Oak High School. She was a homemaker where she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and working in her flowers. Barbara loved to read and could finish an entire book in just a few hours. Barbara’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, William G. “Bill” Clark; one daughter, Cheryl Clark Hopper (Jay), of Graves County; one son, William Bryan Clark, (Beth) of Paducah, Kentucky; one sister, Linda Throgmorton and one brother, Gary Spears both of Paducah, Kentucky; four grandchildren; Christina Garrott, Jeremy LaGore, Emily Edwards and Addie Hopper; four great-grandchildren; Clark Garrott, Braedyn LaGore, Carter Edwards and Stella Edwards several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was one grandson, Wesley Neil Clark; one brother, Wayne Spears and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 15, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Bobby Strong officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
