Anthony 'Tony' Alexander Lazzaro, Jr., a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2024, in Paducah, Kentucky. Born on May 3, 1943 in Utica, New York, Tony's life was marked by dedication to his family and a love for the simple joys in life. He along with his wife were very involved in Engaged Encounter, Marriage Encounter and their church youth group.

Tony leaves behind a legacy of love and commitment, embodied by his wife of 59 years, Donna (Kerler) Lazzaro. Their enduring partnership was a testament to mutual respect and deep affection. Together, they raised a son, Scott Lazzaro (Mary Beth), of Leesburg, VA and a daughter, Amy Grizzard (Cliff), of Sharpe, KY. Tony's role as a father was one he held with the utmost responsibility, instilling values of integrity and kindness in his children.

Tony's warmth extended to his brothers and their spouses, Donald Lazzaro (Francine), Tom Lazzaro (Cindy), Bob Lazzaro (Chris Crowder) and his beloved sister, Marybeth Pisani, who precceded him in his death (Sal), all of whom hail from New York. His presence in their lives was a constant source of support and camaraderie. His love for his family was further multiplied as he embraced the role of grandfather to Andrew Lazzaro (Liz), Elizabeth Lazzaro, Karson Riley (Dalton), and Audrey Grizzard as well as many neices and nephews. The arrival of his great-grandchild, Luke Lazzaro, also brought joy to his later years.

Tony's educational journey in mechanical engineering began at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York, where he honed the skills that would serve him throughout his career. His sharp intellect and problem-solving abilities were evident to all who worked with him. Tony's professionalism was matched only by his intelligence and expertise in his chosen field.

Above all, Tony was a true gentleman. His courteous and considerate nature was recognized by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Caring for his wife was not just a duty but a calling that Tony embraced wholeheartedly. His selflessness while providing for his wife was the hallmark of his commitment to his call to matrimony.

Tony's life was a beautiful tapestry woven with the threads of loyalty, hard work, and love. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the stories shared by his family, the laughter in his grandchildren's voices, and the quiet moments of reflection.  As we bid farewell to Tony, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. His legacy will continue to inspire those he leaves behind, and his spirit will forever be a guiding light to his beloved family. Tony's journey on earth has concluded, but the impact of his life's work and the love he shared will endure for generations to come.
