Ann W. Robinson

Ann Williams Robinson, age 87, of Paducah, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at her home.

Ann was born in Columbus, KY on August 20, 1936, to Thomas Herschal and Emma Maudine Scearce Williams Bolin.  After graduating from Central High School in 1955, she attended Murray State University for one year, then married the love of her life, William E. “Buddy” Robinson, with whom she was married for 56 years.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was actively involved in the Reidland community, where she served on the Reidland Elementary PTA Board and was a Den Leader for the Boy Scouts of America.  

A devout member of Reidland United Methodist Church since 1963, she loved and served the church and her Lord in a variety of ways, including serving as president of the United Methodist Women.  She delighted in being a dedicated, longtime member of the Janet Jennings Sunday School Class.  

Avid fans of Murray State Racer basketball, Ann and Buddy held season tickets for years.

Ann leaves behind a son, Clay (Linda) Robinson of Paducah; daughter, Julia (Mike) Robinson Brown of Olive Branch, MS; son, Scot (Kym) Robinson of Hendersonville, TN; nine grandchildren: Lindsey (Shane) Fleener of Golden, CO, Alan (Krissie) Robinson of Paducah, William (Kyle) Robinson-Spivey of Miami, FL,  Emma (Eric) Straub of Paducah, KY, Derek (Lauren) Haneline of Kevil, KY, Devin (Julie) Haneline of Mayfield, KY, Dallas (Katie) Haneline of Lawrenceburg, TN, Wesley (Amy) Robinson of Mt. Juliet, TN, Kristen (Kyle) Holtsclaw of Hendersonville, TN; and two step-granddaughters: Christy (Michael) Norton of Martin, and Hailey Gali of Miami, FL, 15 great-.grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.  

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William E. “ Buddy” Robinson; one sister, Elizabeth “Doodle” Williams Steinbeck; and her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah at 120 Memorial Drive, Paducah, KY 42001.  Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at the funeral home.
