Alan Mills

Alan Mills, age 69, of Paducah, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Mills was born on February 21, 1954 to the late David and Robbie Mills.  He was a graduate of Reidland High school and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in English and Political Science from Murray State University.  He was the owner of Purchase Paper.

Alan was a member of Reidland United Methodist Church while also attending Community Life Church.  He was an avid reader who loved to travel with beach vacations in the Caribbean and Windjammer Sailing Cruises being some of his favorite getaways.  Always active, Alan enjoyed playing golf, tennis, water and snow skiing, white water rafting and hiking while also finding time to volunteer at Community Kitchen. He will be remembered for his kind heart and someone who would do anything for the ones he loved.

Alan is survived by his wife, Lucinda Mills; his daughter, Jordan Brown (Jamey) of Paducah; one sister, Gloria Fowler (Don) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; one granddaughter, Mills “Milly” Brown; two nephews, Mark Fowler (Ann) and Marty Fowler (Linda); and his dogs, Swat, Millie and Maggie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at a later date.
