Terry Ray Emerson

Terry Ray Emerson, 65, of Metropolis passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at his residence.

He was a retired truck driver from Lindell May Trucking and Southern Illinois Motor Express. He attended Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved his dog, Jake. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is two sons, Jason (Cassie) Emerson of Brookport and John (Sarah) Emerson of Brookport; three sisters, Mary Jacobs of Brookport, Jerry Sue Reynolds of Brookport, and Regina Gurley of Metropolis; six grandchildren, Brookelyn Emerson, Miley Emerson, Bentley Emerson, Addison Emerson, Abigail Emerson, and Amelia Emerson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Odel Emerson and Roberta June Rhodes Emerson; two sisters, Connie Henson and Paulette Swenney; one infant brother; and one infant sister.

He will be cremated per his wishes and no services will be held.
