Shirley Wilson

Shirley (Tibbs) Wilson, 71, of Mayfield, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at her home.  
 
Shirley was the owner of Dusty’s, a specialty retail shop located in Mayfield, in the 1990’s, as well as Stargazers, also located in Mayfield. Shirley was an avid fan of Thrift Shopping, and never missed a yard sale if she could help it. She had a heart and love for everyone, and she never met a stranger. She loved to travel and see the United States.  
 
 She was very proud to be a Granny and a Great-Granny.  
 
Shirley is survived by two children, Michael Washam and Angel (Joe) Richeal; She had two grandsons, Jonathan (Cheyenne) Garrigus, and Brandon (Tara) Garrigus, and her great-grandchildren, Keagan Lindsey, Korbin Garrigus, and Bowen, Riley and Jagger Garrigus.  
 
She also leaves behind a menagerie of fur babies that she loved as if they were her children.  
Preceding Shirley in death are her parents, Wilburn and Mozelle Tibbs; Her Brothers, Bobby Tibbs, Royce Evans and W.H. Evans. 
 
She was also preceded in Death by her late husband, J. Michael Hobbs, her true soul mate in this life.  
 
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and no services are scheduled at this time, however there will be a memorial gathering to be announced at a later date.
