Ray Danner

Ray Danner, age 92, passed away on October 6^th, 2021, in his home in Metropolis, IL. Ray served his country in the United States Army. In his life, he was a man of many professions, including electrical foreman for the city of Metropolis for several years, retired from Allied Chemical after 30 years, as well as auctioneer. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family. Whenever they needed anything, he was always there to help.
 
Ray is survived by his wife of 74 years, Peggy Virginia Danner; his daughter, Dorthea Ann Danner; his sister, Dorothy Jameson, his grandchildren, Laura (Craig) Klope, Lila Lange, and his special grandchild Dee Dee Danner; his great grandchildren, Chandler Lange, TianaRose Lange, Braden Klope, Austin Klope, and Makenzie Klope; his great-great grandchildren, EllaGrace Lange and Grayson Klope.
 
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Pearl Danner; his sons, Danny Ray Danner and Charles Raymond Danner; his great grandson, Joshua Raymond Lange; and his sister, Anna Baines.
