Madeline Runion, 81, of Metropolis passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Metropolis Nursing and Rehab.
Madeline retired from the Massac County Treasurer office. She had a special passion for animals and loved to volunteer at Project Hope Humane Society.
Surviving is her husband of 55 years, Robert Runion; two sons, Shawn Williams and Marty (Angie) Runion; one sister, Josephine Burton; two grandchildren, Christopher Runion and Maria Runion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Amelia Belyew; one son, Derek Williams; and two siblings, Marilyn Hap English and Bill Belyew.
She will be cremated per her wishes and no services will be held.
Memorial contribution may be made in her honor to Project Hope Humane Society at 1698 West 10th Street Metropolis, IL 62960.
