Joe E. Smith

Joe E. Smith, 78, of Paducah, died Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Oakview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Joe retired as a chemical operator from Carbide Graphite in Calvert City and was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.

Joe is survived by his wife, Liz Smith; four children, Joe Ed Smith, John Smith, Jeremy Smith, Amy Geise; four siblings, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joe in death are his parents, Leroy and Hazel Smith, and a son, Scott Grimes.

Friends may visit the family from on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Lindsey Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm or 11:00 am to service hour on Monday at Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church.

A funeral service for Joe will take place on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery in Livingston County.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church for their mission trips.
