James Thomas Brann

Mr. James T. “Jimmy" Brann, aged 79 of Mayfield, KY passed away on August 19, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. Jimmy was born in Mayfield, KY on February 8, 1947, to Thomas “Tom” Brann and Ruth Peery Brann. Jimmy was a US Army Veteran. He was employed at Reelfoot Packing Company and later retired from Goodyear Tire Company where he was known by “JT”. After retirement he spent time with his wife and family as well as working in his garden. Jimmy is survived by his wife of 33 years, Debra Jones Brann of Mayfield, KY. One daughter, Kim Holt of Union City, TN. Stepdaughters, Dawn (Jeff) Lewis of Tecumseh KS and Claudia Reed of Hickory, KY. Granddaughters, Kelsey Pollock of Knoxville TN and Taylor (William) O’ Neal of Halls, TN. Step-grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Smith of Topeka, KS, Emily (Vincent) Lopez of Olathe, KS, Christian Lewis of Tecumseh KS, Zachary and Tyler Reed of Hickory, KY. Three step-great grandsons, Malcolm, Gabriel and Daniel James. He is survived by his sister, Julia Brann Foster of Tiptonville TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Brann Jones and his nephew. A private family celebration of life will be held.
