James Franklin Wright, 76 of Metropolis, IL. Passed away Thursday February 6, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Wright was retired police chief for Cairo, Illinois. And proud Vietnam veteran as an Army Ranger.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Wright of Metropolis. One son, Chad Wright of Brighton, TN. Three step sons, John Fowler of Paducah, Charles Fowler of Draffenville KY. and Ryan Fairchild of Metropolis, IL. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Wright, one sister and one brother.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday February 11, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Lindsey Funeral Home. With full military honors at Mound City National Cemetery in Mounds City Illinois
