Gary Day

Gary Day, 78, of Smithland passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at his residence.

Gary was a farmer and member of Cave Springs Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Linda Day; two children, Dwayne Day (Doris Thorn) of Smithland and Diane (Stan) Arnett of Paducah; two brothers, Phillip (Faye) Dae, Larry (Mildred) Day; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Eulene Dae.

Graveside services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Birdsville Cemetery with Rev. Justin Rowland officiating. Burial will follow.
