Derek Shane Russell

Derek Russell, 43, of Tiline passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Derek was an HVAC Technician for Paducah Heating and Air. He spent all his free time loving his children.

Surviving are his four children, Ashton Russell, Alex Russell, Jordyn Russell, Julius Brandon; his father, Mike (Jennie) Russell; his mother, Stella Potts; five siblings, Robert Brent Potts, Michael (Melissa) Russell, Tara Potts, Jaclyn (Taylor) Meek, Bryan (Kinsee) Potts; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Barry Potts.

Funeral services will be at 12:00pm on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Andrew Sexton officiating. Burial will follow at Paradise Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 10:00am to service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
