Dennis Springer

Dennis Carlton Springer, 68, passed away on October 30th 2023 from a courageous battle with cancer. Even though cancer took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all who loved him.

Dennis was a talented songwriter and performer. In the 1970’s, he wrote and performed songs with his band D.J. Springer and Company. They performed in Canada and Palm Springs, California where he resided during those years. His band also performed in many other places in between and he was still receiving royalties from his work.

Dennis never lost his joy in picking up his guitar to entertain his family and friends. His creativity was fueled by his spirit and faith in God, which never wavered.

Dennis is survived by his lifelong partner and soulmate of 34 years Michael Hamm along with his dearly loved brother Eddie (Teresa) Springer of Paducah, his sister Vivian (Kenny) Lambert of Benton, and very special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents George Eddie Springer and Jewell Worlene McGill Springer, a sister Mary Connell, and brothers Larry Springer and Richard Springer.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.
