Dee Alexander Austin

Dee Alexander Austin, 74, of Paducah passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at her residence.

Dee was born on March 24, 1950, in Paducah to the late Wallace and Virginia Smith.

She retired from Western Baptist Hospital after 37 years of service. She was a member of Bellview Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and taking car rides.

Surviving is her husband of 17 years, Joe Austin; three children, Steven Wayne McNicholas, Terry Lynn McNicholas, Stacy Renee Austin Harman; two sisters, Janice Ann Smith Jackson and Nanice Lee Smith Stewart; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Wallace “Walley” Gregory Smith, Billy Jean Smith, and Walter Bruce Smith.  

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Bellview Baptist Church with the Revs. Bob Whitter and Danny Orazine are officiating.
