David Charles Davis, 67, of Comanche, Texas passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Heart-to-Heart Hospice House in Fort Worth, Texas.
David retired from Lake Worth Drainage District in Delray Beach, Florida. David was a graduate of Brookport High School where he played basketball for several years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time on his ranch in Comanche, Texas. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Terry. David was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving is his wife, Terry Davis; his mother, Barbara Davis; two step sons, Michael Long and Mark (Courtney) Winters; eight-grandchildren, Adrian Long, Mindy (Hose) Lopez, Tabitha Long, Sam (Abi) Winters, David (Shelby Hilton) Winters, Jersey Winters, Rylee Swann, Dylan Winters; one great-granddaughter, Jeli Lopez; one great-grandson, Kaladin Winters; one nephew, Justin (Emily) Rudesill; one niece, Jennifer (Chris) Bone; one uncle, Rev. Jack (Kay) Russell; three great-nephews, Gavin Rudesill, Garrett Bone, Mason Rudesill; one great-niece, Aubree Bone; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Bunny Davis; his sister, Sheila (Terry) Rudesill; and one infant brother.
Memorial services will be at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Waldo Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Russell officiating.
Friends may visit the family from 1:00pm till service hour on Saturday at the church.
