Barbara Ladd

Barbara Ladd, 64, of Brookport passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

Barbara was the owner/operator of The Hair Place and co-owner of Performance Cycle. She was a member of Houser Grove Church of Christ and enjoyed going to motorcycle races.

Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Michael Wayne Ladd; two children, Aaron (April) Ladd and April Lynn and husband, David Loften; one brother, Rodney Metcalf; seven grandchildren, Aaron Ladd, Ayson Ladd, Katelynn Brown, Danny Oropeza, Ashlynn Oropeza, Preston Oropeza, and Carston Oropeza.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Francis Metcalf; her in-laws, Wilford and Geneva Ladd; and one grandson, Treston Oropeza.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Rev. Robbie Grief officiating. Burial will follow at Houser Grove Church of Christ Cemetery.

Friends may visit the family from 11:00am to service hour on Friday at the funeral home.
