Barbara Hopper, 69, of Mayfield passed away peacefully September 8, 2026 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
Barbara had a love for educating children academically and spirtually. She served as a teacher and principal for many years.
Survived by two sisters, Belynda Buchanan of Paducah. and Laura Allison of Mayfield; two brothers, Michael Allison of San Diego, Ca. and Hal Allison of Staunton, Ill; two nephews, Damon Buchanan, Jeremy Buchanan; one daughter Christa Lauran Hopper; and great nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Freida Allison; one brother, Leroy Bentley; one sister, Nona Colbert; two nephews, Andrew Buchanan and Brian Allison; and one niece, Brandi Timmons.
Friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, September 14, 2026 at Lindsey Funeral Home.
