Alice M. Wilson

Mrs. Alice McManus Wilson, age 77, of Paducah, passed away Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Baptist Health Hospital.

Alice was born July 11, 1947 to the late H.B. and Margaret Patterson McManus at Riverside Hospital. She graduated from Heath High School in 1965. In her Junior and Senior high school days, she played left field for the undefeated Concord Angels softball team.  retired from Ingersoll Rand in Mayfield as an administrative assistant to the Systems Department. Alice was an avid bowler in earlier days, winning local, regional, and state championships with her mother along with 10^th place in the nationals. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, fishing, hunting, and most outdoor sports. She was a member of West Kentucky Senior Citizens Center and also a member of Moose Lodge #285. Alice loved the Kentucky Wildcats, win or lose.

Alice is survived by one son, Ronnie Shumaker; four step children, Chris Wilson, Lori (Angie) Wilson, Brent (Tina) Wilson, and Brian (Carly) Wilson; two grandsons, Cody (Chelsea) Shumaker and Cory Shumaker; two step grandsons, Jacob (Chesnee) Wilson and Caleb Wilson; one great granddaughter, Autumn Faye Shumaker; two great-grandsons, Cole and Collin Shumaker; one step great-granddaughter, Rayna Wilson; one step great-grandson, Oliver Wilson; one sister, Shirley Berry; two dear friends, Donna K. Boulton and Sharon Fondaw; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Alice in death is her husband, Tommy Wilson; her parents, H.B. and Margaret Patterson McManus; two sisters, Henrietta Louise McManus and Martha Sue Wolfgang; one niece, Karen Morton, and one nephew, Danny Rhea.

A memorial service for Alice will be held at a later date.
