Wilma Alice Miller Adkins, 80, of Hopkinsville, formerly of Paducah passed away on May 5, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah. She was born on August 31, 1943, in Paducah, KY, to the late William Alex and Edna Marie Miller. Wilma was a retired Cafeteria Manager and worked at Clark Elementary School for many years. In her early years, she was a member of East Baptist Church and as an adult she became a member of Bethel Holiness Church.

Wilma was deeply devoted to her family and found immense joy in being "Nana" to her grandchildren and "Aunt Wilma" to her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed camping, loved flowers, and cherished moments spent watching Charles Stanley and Billy Graham on TV.  In her leisure time, Wilma enjoyed the company of her friends and neighbors on Ashbrook Ave, fondly referred to as "The Golden Girls." Her presence brought light and warmth to those around her.

Wilma's life will be celebrated with a visitation on June 1st, 2024, at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Ledbetter.

She is survived by her daughter Jana Adkins Crabtree (Chuck) of Hopkinsville; two brothers William Miller Jr. (Linda) and Bob Ed Miller (Paula), both of Paducah; five sisters, Gracie Howle (Terry) of Paducah, Janice Puckett (Jerry) of Paducah, Betty Patterson of Paducah, Barbara Southern of St. Mary's, GA, and Ruthie Thomasson (David) of Calvert City; two grandchildren Elizabeth Ann Crabtree (Nashville, TN) and William Eaton Crabtree of Louisville, KY; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer Green, Stephanie Stevens, Sean Patterson, Melinda Wallace, Anne Miller Wallace, Todd Miller, Eric Thomasson, Robbie Miller, Ashley Crouch, Matthew Newberry, Tony Adkins, Angela Heavrin, Janice Funderburk, Karen Gantley, Tammie Renea, Billy Boren Jr. all of Paducah; and a special family member, Juanita Hall Rhea of Paducah.

Wilma also leaves behind her faithful furry companions, Max and Franklin who brought her comfort and companionship.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Franklin Adkins; and her sister Glenda Ritchie.

Wilma believed it was important to give flowers to your loved one while they are still living, so the family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to the charity of your choice.

Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Adkins family.
