James Franklin Curtis of Paducah, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on August 14, 1947, the son of the late Frank and Nellie Curtis.
James was a devoted member of Heartland Church. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed spending time on the water, taking joy in both boating and skiing. His love for nature also drew him to camping, where he created lasting memories. James had an unwavering admiration for NASCAR racing. He was especially known for his enthusiastic support of legendary drivers Dale Earnhardt and Jeff Gordon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Curtis of Paducah; his son, Terry Curtis (Janet) of Florida; his daughter, Debbie Grayson (Lee) of Florida; and his six cherished grandchildren: Michael Curtis, Ashley Curtis, Dylan Grayson, Harley Grayson, Brenda Barrientos, and Jasira Barrientos.
In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Curtis, and one grandchild, Jamie Curtis. He leaves behind memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
