Glenda Fay Hicks, age 70 of Paducah, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Friday, December 6, 2024 after courageously battling Alzheimer's with strength and grace.
Born on April 6, 1954 to Charles and Glenn Keeling in Paducah, KY. Glenda lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her faith and family. As a devoted Christian woman, she spent much of her time sharing God's Word and serving others through various roles within the church. Her dedication to sharing God's love touched the lives of everyone around her.
Glenda was married for 45 wonderful years to her husband and the love of her life, Roger Hicks, who preceded her in death. Together, they build a legacy of love and cherished memories. She was also preceded in death by her father, Charles Keeling, and now joins them in eternal rest.
She is survived by her two children, Neal (Melanie) Hicks, Lea Ann ( Todd) McIntosh; her three beloved grandchildren, Jake Hicks, Erin Hicks, and Gracie McIntosh; her mother, Glenn Keeling; and her four siblings, Tina Keeling, Pennie Brian, Tony Keeling, and Randy Keeling. She also leaves behind Walter Bridges, who cared deeply for her and supported her in her later years.
Glenda will be remembered for her warmth, quick wit that brought laughter and joy to those around her, unwavering strength, selfless service, and profound love for her Lord, family, and friends. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
Her celebration of life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Lawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 9, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
