Buford Lee Coursey, 88, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Parkview Nursing and Rehab. Buford was born on November 27, 1935, in Symsonia, Kentucky, to the late Rollie and Lyda Coursey.
Buford is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Coursey, of Paducah; his grandson, Josh Barkley; and a great-grandchild, Bodhi Barkley. His deep affection for his grandson and great-grandson was evident to all who knew him, as he enjoyed every moment spent with them.
A member of Southland Baptist Temple, Buford was known not only for his strong faith but also for his great sense of humor that endeared him to many. He had a passion for old cars and trucks, finding joy in both their beauty and craftsmanship. He was an avid UK Basketball fan, always keeping up with the games and sharing his enthusiasm with friends and family.
The life of Buford Coursey will be honored with a visitation at Keeling & Goodman Funeral Home in Paducah on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 5 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 11 AM, with Bro. Jimmy Franks officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
