Walter Walls

Mr. Walter Walls, 87, of Murray, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Walls was born on January 27, 1938 in Murray, KY to the late J.W. Walls and Lula Mae Hampton.  

Walter was a graduate of Douglas High School in Murray, and later joined and proudly served in the United States Army.  He acknowledged his faith in God as a member of St. John's Missionary Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold, James and Lynwood Walls and a granddaughter, Mecah A. McGowan.

Those he lovingly leaves behind include one daughter, Glenda Walls of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Latoya Walls Williams, Jerrell Edwards, Malika Cornelious; 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.  Also surviving are his nephews, Vincent Walls (Patricia) of Dallas, TX, Bryant Walls (Jennette) of Rockwall, TX, Heath Walls (Alisa) of Murray, KY, Quintin Walls of Murray, KY, Kerne Kendall of Phoenix, AZ; nieces, Kim Walls of Clarksville, TN, La Tosha Smith and Ashley Walls, both of Paris, TN; a sister in law, Katherine Tharpe Walls of Murray, KY and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray.  Burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery.

His family welcomes visitors from 10 AM - 11 AM on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at the Heritage Chapel.
