Nella Mae Scott

Ms. Nella Mae Scott, 92, of St. Augustine, FL, formerly of Murray, passed away on June 1, 2025 at Aspire at San Jose in Jacksonville, FL.

Ms. Scott was born to the late Jesse and Doanie Underhill Futrell on May 30, 1933 in Golden Pond, KY.  Nella loved to cook and work in her garden and until her health wouldn't allow it, she enjoyed attending services at Living Waters Worship Center in Green Cove Springs, FL.  Ms. Scott retired from foodservice at the Ormond Memorial Hospital in Ormond Beach, Florida.  She adored her beloved cat, Corey and her two grand fur babies, Parker and Princess.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Ludie Ward, Justine Cleaver, Charline Dick, Betty Futrell and one brother, Clyde Futrell. 

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Cheryl Norton (Richard) of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, Jean Bird of Murray and Vivian Shelton of Cadiz, KY.  

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Elm Grove Cemetery.  Shelby Underhill will officiate.  

Her family welcomes visitors from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4th Street, Murray.
