Nell Wiggins

Nell Wiggins, 98, of Murray, KY, went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2026.

Born July 5, 1928, Nell made Murray her home in 1958 where she built a beautiful life with her husband Robert and daughter Annie, of whom she cherished both with a passion. They owned and operated Wiggins Furniture for over 50 years. They loved serving the people of Murray as many customers became lifelong friends.

A faithful member of Flint Baptist Church, Nell lived her Life with a servant's heart. She was strong, hardworking, loved her family fiercely, never met a stranger and always made everyone feel welcome. Annie has always said there were never two people who were meant to be together more than her Mother and Daddy. The love was deep in their hearts as well as given to Annie, the light of their world.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Robert Wiggins as well as her sisters, Virginia Bryant and Margaret Gurley.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Patricia "Annie" Wiggins Nesbitt and husband John Paul; her granddaughters, Christie Yeater and husband Jason, and Emily Nesbitt and longtime companion, Tim Petway; her great-grandchildren, Tamia Petway, Tyra Petway, Tyson Petway and Jackson Yeater; her sister, Sue Perry and son Mike Perry; along with so many wonderful neighbors, friends, and all who were blessed to know and love her.

Our hearts are truly broken but we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her. Her love, her faith and the example she set will stay with us always. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

The funeral service honoring Mrs. Nell Wiggins is set for 2 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray. Ricky Miller and Glen Cope will officiate and burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens.

Her family welcomes visitors from 4 PM until 7 PM on Saturday, August 1, 2026 and on Sunday, August 2, 2026 from 12 PM until 2 PM, both at the Heritage Chapel.
