Linda Fay Petersen

Mrs. Linda Fay Petersen, 75, of Murray, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.  

Linda was born on March 11, 1948 in Metropolis, IL to the late Truman Anderson and Ruby Hart.  Mrs. Petersen had a heart of gold.  She loved, cared and was always there for her beloved family and friends.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.  

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Leroy Petersen; brothers, Murray Gene Petersen, Dixon Anderson, Ronnie Anderson; sisters, Dixie Craft, Janet Ferguson, Sharon Hicks.  In addition, she is preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Jordan.  

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include her daughters, Christina Bowling, Charity Petersen, Joanna Harris, Josephine Duncan (Jimmy), all of Murray;  a brother, Truman Anderson, Jr of FL; two sisters, Ruby Garner of Murray, Donna Montgomery of Louisville; four grandchildren, Amanda, Joseph, George, Hannah and five great grandchildren, Carson, Robbie, Antonio, Tomas, Cooper.

The funeral service honoring the life of Mrs. Linda Fay Petersen is set for 12 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, 311 North 4th Street, Murray.  Burial will follow at Murray City Cemetery.

Her family welcomes visitors from 10 am until 12 pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
