Lester Keith Donelson

Mr. Lester Keith Donelson, 77, of Paducah, KY, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah.  
Keith was born on March 6, 1949 in Highland Park, Michigan to the late Lester and Ruth Vires Donelson. 
He was a 1966 graduate of Calloway County High School, and went on to further his education at Murray State University, where he earned his master’s degree in Safety.
Keith found great peace on the golf course, enjoyed traveling and seeing new places, and could often be found watching classic westerns. Though he was a man of few words, when he spoke, his words carried meaning and wisdom.  His faith was a cornerstone of his life. A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he knew scripture well and lived his life guided by its teachings.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his step daughter, Kasey Rainey of Paducah; a brother, Kenny Donelson (Martha) of Murray; a sister, Diana Scroggins (Robert) of Soddy Daisy, TN and two grandchildren, Ruby and Adam.  In addition, he leaves behind two nieces, Kasey Wilson of Atlanta, GA, Kimber Scroggins of Soddy Daisy, TN; a nephew, Colby Donelson (Cassie) of Murray, KY; a great niece and nephew, Cammi and Drake, also of Murray.
The funeral service honoring Mr. Donelson is set for 1 PM on Friday, March 20, 2026 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 602 South 16^th Street, Murray, KY 42071.  Tony Harper and Charles Lee will officiate, and burial will follow at Fossett Cemetery.
