Joe M. Scarbrough

Mr. Joe M. Scarbrough, age 93 of Orlando, Florida, died from natural causes on December 6, 2024. 

Joe was born on August 19, 1931 in Henry County, TN to Clyde and Mildred K. Scarbrough. He graduated from Hazel High School, Hazel, KY, attended Murray State University and graduated from University of Tennessee with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1959. Served 4 years in the USAF during the Korean War as an airborne radar technician. Employed by Martin Marietta in missile guidance design and development. He was a member of PCUMC for the past 35 years.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Hartman Scarbrough, sons Joe Allen (Linda), Justin (Althea), and daughters Toni Roberts (Don), and Janene Rhodes, seven grandchildren - Chase Livengood, Taylor Dixon, Allen Grimes, Jordan Rhodes, Jillian Palasi, and Benjamin and Justin "Connor" Scarbrough: great grandchildren - Maya Livengood, Brady and Kinley Dixon, Macy and Anna Grimes, Jacee Palasi; and sister Kathy Farris. 

Preceded in death by sisters: Shirley "Sue" Scarbrough, Glenda Hughes, and Judith Hamilton; and brother Billy Pat Scarbrough.

Memorial service to be held on December 14, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hazel Baptist Church.
