Herman Stalls

Mr. Herman Stalls, 79, of Murray, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Spring Creek Healthcare.

Herman, or "Briar" as most called him, was born on November 14, 1946 in Dexter, KY to the late Walter and Lucy Thorn Stalls.  

Briar worked as a car detailer throughout his life.  In his younger years, Briar loved to bowl and spent many evenings at the lanes with friends. He was also an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan, rarely missing a game and cheering on the Wildcats with unwavering dedication.

He is preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dennis Thorn, Doug Stalls and Clayton Stalls.

Those he lovingly leaves behind include his wife of 57 years, Mrs. Brenda Smith Stalls of Murray; sons, Tommy Stalls of Puryear, TN and Mickey Stalls (Bridgette) of Benton, KY; a sister in law, Ruth Thorn of MO; seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A public graveside service welcoming friends and family is set for 2 pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at McCuiston Cemetery with Sammy Cunningham officiating.
