Glendel Beard

Mr. Glendel "Ginx Bob" Beard, 64, of Murray, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023 at his home.

Glendel was born on December 19, 1958 in Visalia, CA to the late Donald and Irene Woodburn Beard.  He was self employed as a carpenter.  Mr. Beard loved to hunt and served as a hunting guide many times.  In addition he loved to fish and ride horses.  Glendel was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Those preceding him in death include his parents; a step daughter, Andrea Manning Hite and a grandson, Gayge Manning.

Survivors include two step sons, Justin Manning (April) of Mayfield, Jason Manning (Jordan) of Murray; a brother, Aaron Beard of Murray; two sisters, Cindee Leonard of Springfield, TN, Becky Phillips of Cadiz; grandchildren, Chase Johnson, Lane Manning, Haley  Efinger, Ethan Tidwell, Owen Manning, Braxton Manning and special friend, Pam Maxey of Mayfield. 

The funeral service honoring Glendel Beard is set for 1 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory.  Brandon Shropshire will officiate and burial will follow at Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

His family welcomes visitors from 11 am - 1 pm on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at the funeral home.
