Mrs. Doris M. Heinz, 89, of Murray, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Heinz was born on March 24, 1936, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Delmar E. Cossel and Dorothy M. Cossel. A devoted wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Heinz, Jr., the love of her life and her Knight in Shining Armor, and her three sisters, Ruth Bauer, Peggy Grega, and Ginger Flint.

Gifted in child development, Doris spent her life building and managing day care facilities where she created cutting edge age appropriate educational, Christan discipleship, and aquatic programs for children. She was also passionate for special needs children, particularly hearing-impaired children. A devout follower of Christ, Mrs. Heinz was a member of Hope Harbor Church, a true prayer warrior, and a source of great love and encouragement for everyone she met.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Art Heinz and wife, Kelli of Murray; James Heinz and wife, Elizabeth of Phoenix, AZ. Gary Heinz and wife, Nancy of Charleston, SC; a daughter, Tammy Priest and husband, Ben of Conroe, TX; grandchildren, Tamalyn Resnick and husband, Rhian of Lake Worth, FL, Austin Heinz of Louisville, Samuel Priest and Rachel Rackliffe and husband, Ryan, both of Conroe, TX; Bailey and Joshua Heinz of Phoenix, AZ. Tim Heinz and wife, Sarah of Murray; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kaelyn, Carter, Stella Resnick, Judah and Emerson Priest, Julianna and Andrew Heinz, and Kinsley Rackliffe.

The memorial service honoring the life of Mrs. Doris Heinz is set for 6 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Hope Harbor Church in Murray. Pastor Art Heinz will officiate, and a private family burial will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. The family welcomes visitors from 4-6 PM on Friday, July 11, 2025 at Hope Harbor Church.
