Mrs. Diana Louise Mishica, 73, of Murray, KY, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025 at her home.
Diana was born on October 27, 1951 in Fort Monroe, VA to the late Richard and Anna Morrison Rehling. She was of Bahai faith.
She found joy early in life through the arts—especially high school theatre and photography. After attending college, she embarked on a career as a television engineer at KDOC, where her technical expertise and dedication left a lasting impression. Later, she served with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in California. Later in life she moved to Murray, KY, where she became an active member of Playhouse in the Park. She also generously volunteered her time with the Murray Fire Department, further reflecting her giving spirit. Diana was also an amateur extra-class HAM radio operator, proudly known by her call sign K4IRU. Her favorite saying—"Be kind to others, especially yourself"—was more than a motto; it was how she lived her life. Diana will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is now reunited with her parents, Richard Cutler Rehling and Anna Louise Morrison and her husband, Joe L. Mishica.
Those left to cherish her memory include her beau, Mike Dowdy; her children, Amy Hatcher, Serena Craft (William), Michael Bonin (Jamie); siblings, Anton Rehling, Carol Weiss (Alan), Susan Bliss, John Rehling (Susan) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A graveside service honoring her life is set for 9 AM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Murray City Cemetery. No public visitation will be held.
