Clifford Pittman

Mr. Clifford Pittman, 85 of Puryear, passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2023.  

Mr. Pittman was born on April 28, 1938 in Pottertown, KY to the late Rupert and Iline Pittman.  He was the owner of Pittman Trucking from 1992-2019.  Mr. Pittman proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1956-1960 as Aircrew flying The DEW Line from Newfoundland to The Azores and back.  He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Joseph Clifford Pittman and one sister, Marine Joy Pittman.

Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include a son, William E. Pittman (Lisa) of Tarpon Springs, FL; a daughter, Debra I. Pittman Wyatt of Puryear, TN; three sisters, Martha Jane Pittman Much (Larry), Wilma Gray Pittman Spaw, Julia Ann Pittman Williams; six grandchildren, Austin Wyatt, Courtney Wyatt, James J.C. Pittman William Pittman, Yvonne Pittman, Terry Pittman.  In addition he leaves behind seven great grandchildren, Piper Wyatt, Joselyn Pittman, Gabriel Daniel, Patrick Redondo, Damion Amacker, Dominic Pittman and James Pittman.

The funeral service honoring Mr. Clifford Pittman is set for 11 am on Monday, December 4, 2023 at Imes Funeral Home, downtown Murray.  Joe Ed Smith will officiate and burial with military honors will follow at Barnett Cemetery.

His family welcomes visitors from 5 pm - 7 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2023 and Monday, December 4, 2023 from 9 am - 11 am at the funeral home.
