Carol Innes

Mrs. Carol Innes, 88, of Murray, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
 
Mrs. Innes was born on June 10, 1936 in Tomahawk, WI to the late William and Rosalia Orcutt Buchanan. 
 
Carol met her husband at Bob Jones University beginning of Christmas vacation riding in the same car back to Wisconsin where they both lived.  The two married on June 9, 1962 in Tomahawk.  Carol graduated from Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC with a Bachelors degree in elementary education.  She taught elementary students throughout her career, ending that tenure at Eastwood Christian Academy in Murray.  Carol loved to travel with her daughter, Fern and they visited Norway, Iceland, Japan, Alaska and Hawaii.  She loved to sing duets, watch sunset and admire her beautiful flowers.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
 
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George Buchanan, Roger Buchanan; a sister, Marie Johnson; her daughter, Fern Innes.
 
She is survived by her husband, Mr. Neil Innes of Murray; sons, Mark Innes, Harvey Innes and Hans Innes. Also surviving are her siblings, Dale Buchanan, Don Buchanan and Ruth Buchanan.
 
Graveside services are set for 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Temple Hill Cemetery. 
 
Her family welcomes visitors from 12 pm – 1pm on Tuesday, January  14, 2025 at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4^th Street, Murray.
