Brayden Alexander Laster

Brayden Alexander Laster, 16, of Murray, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 in Murray.
Born on Christmas Day 2009 in Murray, Brayden was the beloved son of Chris and Amanda Laster.
Brayden was a student at Calloway County High School, where he was preparing to enter the 11th grade.  He loved football and was fascinated by engineering and technology, spending hours creating and innovating through 3D printing. He possessed an entrepreneurial spirit beyond his years, always dreaming of new ideas and finding ways to turn them into reality. He was also an avid gamer and enjoyed sharing this with his sister.
He was, above all else, a daddy's boy, cherishing every moment spent with his father. He took immense pride in being a big brother to his sister, Katelyn.
Those who knew Brayden will remember his bright smile, his kind heart, and the way he made others feel seen and valued. He was an amazing friend, a strong young man, and a shining light in the lives of so many.
Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will endure forever in the hearts of his family, friends, classmates, teammates, and all who loved him.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Amanda Ann Laster.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include his father, Chris Laster of Murray; his sister, Katelyn Laster of Murray; his grandparents; David and Teresa Nall of Paducah; Penny Baird of Paducah and a special uncle, Charles Laster of Paducah.
A joint funeral service for Brayden and his mother, Amanda, is set for 6 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Heritage Chapel of Imes Funeral Home, 1804 Highway 121 Bypass North, Murray.
His family welcomes visitors from 3 PM – 6 PM on Wednesday at the Heritage Chapel.
